House River Falls
By TT Travel • 1787586158

Long before House River Falls became a hidden outdoor shower, Englishman’s Bay was Stetin Bay on 1600s Dutch maps, named after planter Samuel Stetin. By the early 1700s, it became Englishman’s Bay under British rule.
The Main Ridge above it was protected in 1776 as the oldest forest reserve in the Western Hemisphere, still feeding the stream that creates these quiet falls just upstream.
A 15–20 min guided walk past smaller cascades leads to the main waterfall, perfect for standing under the cool water, far from the crowds.
Still one of Tobago’s best-kept natural secrets.
